The Challenge
An elite automotive driving festival needed a distinctive recognition piece for drivers who exceeded 200 mph, an achievement reached by only a select group of participants.
The award needed to strike a precise balance:
● Bold enough to resonate with exotic car owners
● Refined enough to be proudly displayed long after the event
Generic trophies or plaques would fall flat. The piece had to reflect the same performance mindset and material language as the vehicles themselves.
The Solution
Carbon fiber was selected as the foundation material, a direct nod to motorsport performance, engineering, and exclusivity.
A custom carbon fiber frame was designed and fabricated to showcase each driver’s achievement, translating speed and precision into a physical object. The form was intentionally restrained, allowing the material and craftsmanship to communicate value without unnecessary embellishment.
The result was a recognition piece that felt authentic to the audience: high-performance, collectible, and display-worthy.
The Result
● Immediate resonance with qualifying drivers
● In its first year, multiple qualifiers purchased additional frames
● The program has continued annually due to sustained demand and perceived value
What began as a single award concept evolved into a recurring, collectible brand element embedded in the event’s culture.
Why It Mattered
For an audience accustomed to rare vehicles and bespoke engineering, recognition needs to feel equally intentional. By using specialty materials and custom fabrication, the Tour de Force created an award that drivers valued not just as proof of achievement, but as an object worth owning.
